Sometimes things don’t go quite as we had hoped or expected them to. One thing that motherhood has taught me is that you can’t control everything when it comes to babies or children! Baby due dates are a prime example really of how we can have the best plan in the world, but basically, baby will have their own plan and arrive on their own schedule!
When your baby does arrive, we usually book your session within the first 2 weeks, to really capture those fleeting, brand new details… BUT… there are no strict rules, and I’m always happy to be flexible and move our session to whenever you and your little one is ready.
This family planned to have their photoshoot, and twice had to reschedule when their little girl had to go back into hospital. I know they were disappointed at the time, and obviously worried about their little one. But when things had settled down we planned a new session date. And, the photos were totally worth the wait! She had just turned 4 months, still so little, still plenty of babyness to capture, but with the added bonus of bright eyes and gorgeous smiles.
