Hi there, I’m Aby. You’re here to get to know a little more about me (and to see if I’m the photographer you want to capture your family).
I live in Winton, Bournemouth with my lovely husband and two cheeky kids. My daughter has been keeping me on my toes since 2013 and my son is my little shadow.
They are my everything and my driving force behind why I do what I do.
Growing up I would happily spend my time drawing, painting, crafting and my photography felt like a natural extension to that. But it was when I had my daughter that I realised the true magic of photography. I wanted to hold onto those fleeting moments, and I think it’s important that you do too. I want mothers and families to have photographs of their children so they can look back and remember all the little things, the way they hold your hand, their gummy smiles, a gap where a tooth once was, and to have these photos to last generations.
My photography style has been described as: natural, honest, and storytelling. I like to capture life as it happens and take natural, relaxed photographs of you and your loved ones. I believe the best photos happen when we are relaxed and comfortable, adults and children alike. I’ll take your lead and document the time together with a little bit of guidance into the best light and a little direction where needed, to allow genuine moments to unfold naturally. The ‘in-between’ moments are some of my clients favourites from a photoshoot. I just want to capture the love and connection you have in your family, and to help you make artwork that you hang proudly from your walls.
* I love interior design and used to work for an interior designer. I’m often dreaming of my next home project!
* I’d choose walking over driving. It’s my most favoured way of keeping fit! But I do enjoy yoga and find I need that calm and reflective time to stay happy.
* I’m a wannabe gardener! I know next to nothing about plants and growing things, but I’m enjoying having a go and love to create a nice outdoor space. I also love getting my hands dirty, I’ll happily try and chop a tree down and dig up a flowerbed!
* I don’t drink coffee… cup of tea for me.
* Being with my friends and sharing a bottle of wine is one of my favourite ways to spend an evening.
* I have a drama and theatre arts degree, helpful for all those bedtime stories!
* I’m an artist, I don’t find a lot of time for big paintings these days, but love to make family and friends cards on special occasions.
